I scream, you scream, we all scream for… the COVID vaccine!
A coronavirus vaccination center in Russia is giving out free ice cream in an attempt to entice Muscovites into getting inoculated, Bloomberg reports.
The incentive — offered at a mall on Moscow’s Red Square — is meant to lure city residents to get vaccinated, as polls show just 38 percent of Russians are confident about receiving the shot.
About 300 people get vaccinated at the mall each day, Dr. Natalya Kuzentova told Bloomberg. The site is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Moscow trails far behind cities like London and New York in numbers of people vaccinated, Bloomberg said.
Russian officials devised and are distributing their own injection — known as Sputnik V. They aim to have 60 percent vaccinated in six month, according to Bloomberg.
Meanwhile, in the Big Apple, Yankee Stadium is offering team “trinkets” to Bronx residents who get the shot there.
