Hollywood actor Paul Rudd has encouraged young people to wear face masks in an entertaining video as the US grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo shared the clip on his official Twitter account, writing: “Certified young person Paul Rudd wants you to wear a mask. Listen up.”
The light-hearted video, aimed at millennials, sees the Friends star don a yellow hoodie and NY baseball cap while holding a skateboard.
In the clip, the 51-year-old says: “Yo, what up dogs, Paul Rudd here. Actor and certified young person.
“A few days ago I was talking on the iPhone with my homie Governor Cuomo, and he’s just going off about how us millennials need to wear masks because, get this, apparently a lot of COVID is transmitted by us millennials.”
The New Jersey-born actor says Mr Cuomo had asked him to help get the message across.
“So Cuoms asked me, he’s like, ‘Paul, you gotta help! What are you, like 26?’ And I didn’t correct him.”
He continues: “It’s not hard. People are dying, hundreds of thousands of people are dying. It’s preventable. I shouldn’t have to make it fun – it’s science!”

The clip concludes with Rudd featuring on the YouTube show Hot Ones, where celebrities eat spicy barbecue wings while answering questions.
It shows both Rudd and host Sean Evans wearing face masks which are smeared with barbecue sauce.
The US is the country that has been worst hit by coronavirus, with more than 6.5 million cases of COVID-19 and 194,071 deaths.
On Monday, fines of $50 (£39) were introduced for New York City commuters who refuse to wear a mask on subways, trains and buses.
Mr Cuomo said he hopes the penalty would encourage people to return to public transit by lowering the possibility of getting infected while using it.
